Kirby And The Forgotten Land Ability Blueprints Guide

Kirby And The Forgotten Land is all about beating up enemies in abandoned malls and industrial wastelands to rescue Waddle Dees. To do so, upgrading Kirby’s abilities–from drills to guns–is an important part of gameplay. There are 21 such blueprints to discover throughout all the different worlds’ stages. Some are easy to find and some are a little harder to get to. The ones marked with two asterisks (**) are the ones you might need to keep an extra eye out for. Here’s where to find all Ability Blueprints.

Everbay Coast

Scale the Cement Summit

  • Clutter Needle Blueprint: Located under blocks you need to blow up.

Fast-Flowing Water Works

  • Chain Bomb Blueprint: After defeating a cordoned area’s enemies, you’ll get this as a reward.

  • Noble Ranger Blueprint: After defeating the boss, you get this automatically.

  • Time Crash Blueprint: You’ll see a blue coin floating in a hole at the lower left of your screen at some point. Float down to enter the hole, continue down the passageway, and you’ll find the recipe.

Circuit Speedway

  • Gigantic Sword Blueprint: After defeating the Wild Edge enemy (the one with a melee weapon), the recipe will be in a treasure box right in front of you.

The Wondaria Dream Parade**

  • Fleur Tornado Blueprint: After going mouthful mode the water pipe and turning into a water balloon, push a car against a wall to get this recipe. This is in the latter half of Wondaria Dream Parade, and near the roller coasters.

Danger under the Big Top

  • Pencil Drill Blueprint: After defeating Clawroline, you’ll get this automatically.

Winter Horns

Windy, Freezing Seas**

  • Dragon Fire Blueprint: Located in a treasure box in the area where the wind blows players down a corridor. This is the same corridor where you’ll find the hidden passageway’s entrance. Defrost the scissor list, ride over to the left-hand side, and hop on the ledge on the right-hand side.

The Battle of Blizzard Bridge

  • Frosty Ice Blueprint: At the end of the level after clearing three bosses, you’ll automatically get this in a treasure chest.

Alivel Mall (Staff Side)

  • Wild Hammer Blueprint: You can find it in the treasure chest in the hidden room in the middle of the stage. The entrance is indicated by a single red star. A hidden Waddle Dee is in there as well. You’ll need to fight Wild Bonkers (hammer-wielding enemy) to access this.

Gathering of the Beast Council**

  • Storm Tornado Blueprint: Right after defeating Klawroline, go forward and then go to the right-hand side. The blueprint will be hidden in a little nook recessed into the platform. This is before the coaster, so do not go into mouthful mode on the coaster or else you’ll miss the blueprint.

Waddle Dee Town

  • Masked Hammer Blueprint: After beating the game (and defeating a cosmic god), go back into town and find the snoozing King Dedede. He’ll give you the blueprint.
